The Latvian Physical Society
(LPS) was formed on November 20, 1992, reestablishing the Latvian Physical and Mathematical Society founded in 1939. 

The LPS is a voluntary and non-profit organization of scientists, teachers, engineers and students working in Physics.

The LPS is a member of the European Physical Society.
