The LPS organized lectures
take place each month at the institue of Atomic Physics and
Spectroscopy of the University of Latvia (Riga, Skunu street 4),
lecture-hall on the 4th floor. The lectures are held by Latvian and
foreign scientists who present the talks about the actualities of
physics and related branches. The announcements about the LPS lectures

Latvian Physical Society
Conference for several times has taken place in the largest town of the
eastern Latvia - Daugavpils, where conference was organized by the
Daugavpils Pedagogigal University. In 2001 LPS conference was organized
jointly with the Latvian Astronomical Society and took place in Liepene
not far from Ventspils. The purpose of the LPS conferences is to bring
together scientists, teachers, engineers, students, schoolchildren and
everybody who is interested in physics for discussing many interesting
physics problems.
